With a fixed pitch and no motorized components, the SunCover 1000 offers reliable, low-maintenance performance for people who value function and affordability over high-end features. Ordering Instructions

Fabric
All models use first-grade 100% acrylic Sunbrella® shade and marine-grade fabric with a 10-year warranty against rot, mildew, and excessive fading.
Stitched with GORE® Tenera thread (8-year warranty).
Note: Patterned/striped fabrics may not align with the main awning due to manufacturing differences or fabric roll widths.
Frame Color
All awnings feature powder-coated aluminum frames (not wet-painted).
Select from standard colors based on the model. Most homeowners choose a color that matches exterior trim.
Valance
Located along the front bar, the valance matches the main fabric and provides added shade.
Stripes and seams will align with the main cover. Several styles available.
4000 model: Includes an 8” wave valance with matching braid.
Mounting
Choose based on your home's structure.
- Wall Mount – Ideal for flat two-story homes with enough vertical clearance.
- Roof Mount – Used on ranch and bi-level homes to achieve proper pitch. Brackets install 2 rows back on asphalt shingles (add 12” to roof edge to find mounting height). Requires special roof mount brackets (additional cost).
- Soffit/Ceiling Mount (4000 only) – Installed under an overhang/eave. No hood required. Check for structural framing behind soffit.
Be sure there are no obstructions (vents, downspouts, exterior lights) in your selected mount area.
Operation
Drive Side – Choose left or right (facing your house from outside).
Manual Crank – Extend/retract by hand (approx. 70 turns for 10’ projection).
Motorized – Plug into an outdoor outlet. Controlled by remote. Stops automatically when fully extended/retracted.
- Stop at any point for partial shade
- Includes power cord and remote
Backup manual operation if power is lost
Optional Wind Sensor – Retracts unit automatically if high winds are detected.
Protective Aluminum Hood
An optional powder-coated aluminum hood protects the first 10" of fabric when retracted.
Recommended for roof or wall mounts with less than 2’ of overhead protection.
Do not select a hood for ceiling/soffit mounts. If motorized, a hood can extend motor life and protect fabric from discoloration.
